artistsMae Moore and Lester Quitzau We are very proud to have the unique opportunity to present Mae and Lester together.
Mae Moore (www.maemoore.com) is a very talented singer and songwriter who has achieved Top 10 radio success for her soulful blend of rock, folk and jazz. Her "neo-folkster" songs have appeared in film and on TV in Canada and the U.S. Lester Quitzau ( www.lesterq.com ) is a Juno Award winner for his major contribution to the roots/world music trio, Tri-Continental. He has received wide acclaim for his Very Electric Trio and his solo works. Think rock/jazz! Together they are dynamic and you won't want to miss this hot music on a cool Sunday night.
Tom Wilson ( www.tomwilson.net)
A veteran of the Canadian music scene, Tom is a larger than life figure of a man whose unstoppable personality can fill a room. Writer and performer, Wilson's eclectic, character-driven musical style has ranged from the psychobilly punch of the Florida Razors, to the folk/blues sensibilities of Blackie & the Rodeo Kings and the funk/blues inspired rock of Junkhouse. Now solo, energized by the new direction of his career and feeding creatively off fresh collaberations, his piercing eyes and dynamic performances are playing to sell-out concerts. Big man, big personality, big sound, big mistake if you miss this.
Michael Pickett (www.michaelpickett.com) Michael's musical career has spanned more than three decades. Singer, songwriter, harmonica player and award winning recording artist, Michael embraces the Blues with style, substance and musical integrity. In the 70's and 80's he led the bands Whisky Howl, Wooden Teeth and the Michael Pickett Band pushing the envelope for blues and funky roots music. In the spring of 2000 he picked up his Gibson and entered the world of solo acoustic roots music. He continues to garner awards and acclaim. He just won harmonica player of the year at the Maple Blues Awards. A warm and generous performer, remarkable vocal talent and skilled on the harmonica, 6-string, 12-string, National Steel Duolian and Yanuziello resphonic, Michael is here for this one night!
